On My Knees

Are you weary or tired of your life responsibilities? Or perhaps you are stressed over the chaos of being bombarded by information, both lies and truth, thrown at you by various media outlets. Maybe you are experiencing deep sorrow, anger or frustration over events you have no control over. Jesus invites you to come to Him. He understands. Approach Jesus by prayer and through His Word. You will find rest. You will find the healing love of Christ Jesus.

I am sharing a personal story in hope that it will bring you comfort and teach you about the love of Jesus. God will meet you where you are, wherever that is.

Emotionally exhausted from walking beside a hurting family, I needed the rest that only Jesus can offer. So, I went outside to water the yard and holding the hose I used my thumb to create a spray. I watched a rainbow appear and disappear as I moved the hose side to side. I felt the refreshing spray of the water. I began to relax and then I smelled a beautiful sweet fragrance. I glanced at my roses which looked dead and neglected. I literally turned in a complete circle searching for the source of the sweet fragrance. And then I saw something. I got down on my hands and knees, leaning forward to smell the prettiest pink rose amidst dead looking leaves and branches. There are really no human words that can adequately describe the tenderness of Jesus meeting me where I was at.

Jesus wants to help you. He gave His life for you on the cross. He invites you to come to Him for comfort and rest. Jesus is the truth the world needs today.

On my knees in a garden, God came to me.
With the fragrance of a rose
God comforted me.
To my heart He said,
I know your pain I’ve heard your tears.

On my knees in a garden, God came to me.
With the fragrance of a rose
God encouraged me.
To my heart He said,
I know your fears I’ve heard your prayers.

On my knees in a garden, God came to me.
With the fragrance of a rose
God strengthened me.
To my heart He said,
you must have faith and trust in Me.

On my knees in a garden God gave me peace.
Amen.
